Reports indicate that after winning the 2014 Polla de Potrillos and the 2014 Gran Premio Jockey Club, trainers and owners are reluctant to face the great Sir Fever in the 2014 Clasico Gran Premio Nacional, run at over 2500 meters. Beginning his career on January 6, 2014, Sir Fever won nine races this year alone and remains undefeated. Every first place win was with regular jockey Federico Piriz and trainer Jorge Piriz.

Sir Fever is owned by Paola Rosas, who is extremely grateful for the nations support in Sir Fever’s success.

There has not been a Uruguayan Triple Crown winner since Argentinean horse Invasor won in 2005 at Hipodromo Nacional de Maroñas. Ironically, Fletcher teams up with jockey Luis A. Caceres, who will wear the same colors in the 2014 Clasico Gran Premio Nacional as champion Invasor did in 2005 because the colt is owned by Stud 3 de Enero.

North America is equally excited as South America to watch Sir Fever pursue a Triple Crown win. America has not held a Triple Crown winner since Affirmed and jockey Steve Cauthen crossed the finish line first in 1978. Lady and The Track wishes Sir Fever and the entire country of Uruguay the best of luck in the 2014 Clasico Gran Premio Nacional!

Post time for the 2014 Clasico Gran Premio Nacional is at 5:30 PM ET on Sunday, November 9th and can be watched via live stream at videos.maronas.com.
