Ingredients

For 5 people:

– Canned chickpeas: 500 g
– Flour: 3 tablespoons
– Onion: 1
– Garlic: 1 clove
– Parsley: 1/2 bunch
– Cilantro: 10 sprigs
– Turmeric: 1 teaspoon
– Cumin: 2 teaspoons
– Salt: 1 pinch

Preparation

1. **Ingredient Prep**
Rinse, drain, and coarsely blend the chickpeas (alternatively, you can mash them with a fork). Peel and finely chop the garlic and onion. Wash, dry, and finely chop the fresh herbs.

2. **Dough Preparation**
In a mixing bowl, combine the blended chickpeas, flour, chopped herbs, and spices. Mix everything until it forms a uniform dough.

3. **Shaping the Falafels**
Shape the dough into balls the size of ping-pong balls by rolling them in your hands.

4. **Cooking the Falafels**
Place the falafel balls in the basket of the Airfryer, which has been lined with lightly oiled parchment paper. Cook them for 20 minutes at 190°C (374°F), turning halfway through the cooking time.
