This straightforward recipe lets you whip up an authentic homemade pizza with a crispy crust and high-quality ingredients. The blend of tomato sauce seasoned with basil and oregano adds a distinctive aromatic touch, while the ham remains tender and flavorful.

Ingredients

For 2 people:

– 1 packet of pizza dough mix (Leader Price brand)
– 3 slices of Parma ham
– 1.5 cans of plain tomato sauce
– 1 ball of mozzarella
– 125 ml water
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
– 2 teaspoons of oregano
– 5 fresh basil leaves

Preparation Steps

1. Preheat your oven to 428°F (thermostat 7). Prepare the dough following the instructions on the package. (For the dough used: add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 125 ml of water to the mix, stir to combine and form the dough, then roll it out without letting it rest).

2. Roll the dough into a large rectangle and place it on a baking sheet or oven rack lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.

3. Mix the plain tomato sauce with the washed and finely chopped basil leaves. Spread this mixture evenly over the dough. Slice the mozzarella into thin rounds and arrange them on the dough. Sprinkle the oregano on top.

To Finish

Bake the pizza for 12 to 14 minutes, keeping an eye on it. Remove the pizza from the oven and add slices of Parma ham, then bake again for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, watching closely. Remove the pizza from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious, homemade Italian-style pizza right out of the oven!
