What to wear to the Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct…
While attending the 2015 Gotham Stakes and enjoying the many amenities at Aqueduct, you will also want to stay warm. Although spring is right around the corner, it is still rather chilly in New York this time of year. Try one of this season’s most prominent trends, the cocoon coat. For a fresh take, try a cocoon-style coat in a pastel shade. This keeps the look light and fresh while giving a nod toward the spring trends to come while still keeping you winter-warm. A lavender cocoon coat or a beautiful pink T. Tahari cocoon coat are also options to show off at Aqueduct.
Pair your pastel cocoon coat looks with light neutrals like nude or other pastels. Traditionally, too much pastel all in one look is a no-no, but since it is nowhere near Easter and this pastel look is in heavier winter fabrics, pairing pastels with pastels is perfectly acceptable and even provides a breath of fresh air during drab and cold winter weather. Try nude or pastel shoes or even a nude pastel combo like bowed heels.
Carry your pastel look through to your headwear as well by donning a pink pastel floral mesh headpiece.
You will look fresh and light and will still stay warm in your pastel cocoon coat while enjoying all the happenings at Aqueduct on Gotham Stakes day!
