Ingredients

  • Bread – 2 slices
  • Prosciutto – 1 slice
  • Pesto – 2 teaspoons

Preparation

Total Time: 15 minutes

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

  1. Cut Out Circles

For one rose, start by cutting a circle from a slice of bread using a glass or a cookie cutter. Set it aside.

  2. Make the Petals

Take the remaining bread and roll it out with a rolling pin. Cut out circles, not too perfect, to form the petals.

  3. Arrange on the Glass

Arrange your petals staggered around the rim of a narrow glass or a coffee cup, pressing gently to meld them together.

  4. Bake

Invert the glass in your hand and place the rose in a mold or a small tart dish. Bake until the bread is lightly toasted (about 7 minutes at 400°F).

  5. Spread on the First Disk

Go back to the first disk you set aside, and spread some cheese on it.

  6. Decorate the Flower

Place the slightly toasted rose on top, roll the slice of prosciutto to form the heart of the rose, and place it in the center of the flower.

  7. Add the Pesto

Add pesto or any other topping of your choice.

  8. Serve and Enjoy!

Your delightful appetizer roses are ready to be served and enjoyed! You can also find this recipe in video format on Instagram: @MESECYM_.
