A melt-in-your-mouth, flavorful, and unique side dish. Unsure what to do with your beets? Give this recipe a try. Every time I mention hosting a barbecue, everyone asks me to make this dish. I use beets from my garden or purchase them from an organic store.
Ingredients
For 4 people:
– 3 units of Egyptian black beets or similar
– 15 sprigs of chives
– 1 teaspoon of sea salt
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Directions
1. **Cooking:** Peel the beets and cut them in half. Steam them for about 25 minutes.
2. **Plating:** Dice the cooked beets. Toss them with olive oil and finely chopped chives. Serve chilled, sprinkled with sea salt (this is very important).
