As per tradition, Japanese Emperor Naruhito and his wife Masako were welcomed with full honors at the start of their state visit. The contrasting styles of the two ladies were particularly noteworthy. While the Empress of Japan opted for a modest look featuring a tailored suit and a netted hat, the Dutch Queen Consort chose a bolder fashion statement. The highlight of her ensemble was a long dress by Natan Couture, one of her preferred designers. This piece was exceptionally original, crafted from hand-painted, textured fabrics, thanks to Argentine artist Pablo Piatti, who has beautifully handcrafted several garments for Natan Couture. Beyond its extraordinary texture, the dress also featured a vibrant green hue.
To complement this striking garment, Queen Máxima wisely paired it with light tones. She was seen with a thin cardigan casually draped over her shoulders, Gianvito Rossi pumps, and a clutch from Glorinha Paranaguá, a brand based in Rio de Janeiro. However, the accessory that truly caught the eye was her headband.
This oversized model sat atop her smooth hair and matched her outfit perfectly. At 55, the Buenos Aires-born queen made bold yet elegant choices, showcasing her refined fashion sense.
