Mastering Chic Ensembles with Existing Wardrobe Pieces
On March 8th in Amsterdam, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands stepped out to attend an event hosted by Women Inc, coinciding with International Women’s Day. For this occasion, the queen delved into her wardrobe to showcase some of her most cherished fashion items.

The event focused on discussions about improving women’s health through specific research and treatments. Queen Maxima, the consort of the Netherlands, made a striking appearance in a chic two-tone outfit, highlighted by a standout top. Maxima Zorreguieta chose a green top, a color she often favors for her royal engagements. The slightly cropped top with long sleeves is from the designer Natan. This wasn’t the first time she had worn this piece; she previously wore it in November 2024 and January 2025. Similar to Kate Middleton, the wife of Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands is known for recycling her outfits, pairing them with different items to craft new looks.

To complement the green of her top, Queen Maxima opted for gray, choosing a pencil skirt that hugged her figure, pointed heels, and a Chanel handbag. This particular model, the “Classic Jumbo,” is a favorite of hers, as she owns it in various colors. Notably, she matched her jewelry to the green of her blouse.
The mother of three wore large pearled earrings from Bodes en Bode and a zebra-striped peridot ring from Steltman’s “Safari” line, which she frequently wears. With this sophisticated and straightforward ensemble, Queen Maxima once again demonstrated that it is entirely possible to mix and match fashion pieces creatively and effectively.
