The Dutch Queen Knows the Power of a Perfect Accessory
On July 25th, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands kicked off the World Pride event in Amsterdam. This marked a special occasion where the queen showcased an eye-catching accessory.
Queen Maxima of the Netherlands’ Most Memorable Royal Outfits, from Her Youth to Present
This event is historic as the 2026 World Pride will take place in Amsterdam, featuring a two-week-long series of celebrations. For this global gathering, Queen Maxima made a notable alteration to her royal schedule. She paused her summer vacation in Greece to make a solo appearance at the event. As the wife of King Willem-Alexander, she became the first queen to inaugurate World Pride. To shine at the event, she chose a full ensemble in a champagne color, including a midi dress by Natan Couture, one of her favorite labels. For footwear, the Argentina-born royal opted for her beloved “Gianvito 105” suede pumps by Gianvito Rossi, priced at €630.

The standout accessory of her outfit was undoubtedly her hat. Queen Maxima went all out with a highly original piece by designer Berry Rutjes Jr. This unconventional fascinator featured an oversized design with feathers cut into hydrangea flower shapes.
