Kentucky Derby 2013: Frac Daddy

Frac Daddy

Frac Daddy

Frac Daddy is all settled in at Churchill Downs awaiting his chance to make history in the 2013 Kentucky Derby on May 4, 2013. Frac Daddy arrived at the Churchill Downs barn on Wednesday April 17th at 4:00am in the morning. He was said to be “in good order.”

Frac Daddy is owned by Magic City Thoroughbred Partners and trained by Kenny McPeek. Victor Lebron will take the mount aboard Frac Daddy on the first Saturday in May. Frac Daddy finished 2nd in both the Kentucky Jockey Club back and the Arkansas Derby. Experts predict that Frac Daddy will do great with distance because of his pedigree. He is from Scat Daddy and Skipper’s Mate.

Lady and The Track had the chance to sit down with Trainer Kenny McPeek to find out a little bit more about Frac Daddy. We learned that Frac Daddy loves beer and is expected to get better with age!
