Jockey Robby Albarado Arrested, Loses Ride in 2012 Kentucky Oaks

Robby Albarado lost his chance at riding in the 2012 Kentucky Oaks today because he was arrested on assault charges. The jockey was set to ride 2012 Kentucky Oaks contender Hard Not To Like.

Jockey Robby Albarado scratched from today's 2012 Kentucky Oaks.

Robby Albarado was arrested on fourth-degree assault charges with alleged domestic violence. The jockey was booked at a Louisville, Kentucky jail after being arrested at a local residence.

Churchill Downs spokesman Darren Rogers said that Jockey Robby Albarado has been scratched from all eight of his scheduled rides today.

No word yet on who will be taking Robby Albarado’s place today. Hard Not To Like is a hot contender in the 2012 Kentucky Oaks. I’m sure this is a major disappointment for the fillie’s team.
