Sunland Derby 2015; Odds, Picks, Events, Fashion: The 13th running of the Sunland Derby will take place at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino on Sunday, March 22 on Sunland Park, New Mexico. The Sunland Derby is a Grade III race and is included on the road to the Kentucky Derby. Additionally on Sunday, the Sunland Park Oaks is a great way to get to know a few Kentucky Oaks contenders and will award the first place finisher with 50 points on the Oaks Trail. Also featured at the Sunland Derby will be the $170K Chevy Sparks Giveaway in which Sunland will be giving away thirteen Chevrolet Sparks starting at six o’clock in the evening on Sunday.

What to do at the 2015 Sunland Derby at Sunland Park…

In addition to the new car giveaway, Sunland Park will also offer plenty of entertainment on Sunday with Mariachi Alegre from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and DJ Juan E. from 6:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. These musical guests will be at Franklin’s Lounge which is located on the Sunland property. Sunland’s casino is also open on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m.

Sunland also features Ventanas, a full service restaurant, bar, and grill that features specialty pizzas and local favorites. They are open daily from 11:00 in the morning until 10:00 in the evening.
