What to wear to Santa Anita Park on Sham Stakes Day…

For Sham Stakes day attire try one of the popular runway trends for winter 2015, the mod 60’s trend. Think A-line shift dresses paired with knee high boots. If it is cooler you can even add tights and a warm coat and still pull of the 60’s inspired look. Try a shift dress with eyelet detailing. Normally eyelet in the winter is a no-no, but the fabric is dark enough that it is winter appropriate. You can also try a shift with intricate collar detail or a long sleeve dress. For your head wear go with a 60’s inspired pillbox hat for the 2015 Sham Stakes. Pair it with knee high boots to carry you from day to night. Just make sure to avoid patent leather boots or white boots so that you don’t literally look like you are wearing a 60’s costume. You want to give a nod to the 60’s without looking like you are wearing a costume.

Your 60’s inspired look will take you from the Club House to the track at Santa Anita Park, and will ensure that you look stylish while having a good time at the 2015 Sham Stakes.
