Princess Ariane of the Netherlands Honors Queen Juliana with 4-Generation Family Heirloom

Princess Ariane of the Netherlands Shines in New Official Portraits

Princess Ariane of the Netherlands recently celebrated her 18th birthday on April 10. In honor of this milestone, four official portraits were released, showcasing her in stunning royal attire.

Like her older sisters, Catharina-Amalia and Alexia, Princess Ariane posed for photographer Frank Ruitter to mark her coming of age. The daughter of Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander dazzled in a red Self-Portrait dress and another equally charming outfit that suited her perfectly. She wore a magnificent midi dress in light green, crafted from linen and cotton by Brazilian brand Farm Rio. The dress featured a collar, long sleeves, and beautiful broderie anglaise details, emphasizing its refined elegance. Standing third in line to the Dutch throne, she exuded a fairy-tale princess grace.

Accessorizing with a Touch of Heritage

To complement her romantic dress, Princess Ariane chose simplicity in her accessories, opting for a single item. She wore hanging earrings that once belonged to her great-grandmother. These earrings, a legacy from Queen Juliana of the Netherlands, were highlighted beautifully in the photographs thanks to a hairstyle that framed her radiant face.

It’s worth noting that the aquamarine stone of the earrings matched the color of her dress perfectly. The youngest daughter of the Dutch royal couple thus paid a lovely tribute to the former queen, who ruled the country until her abdication in 1980.
