A Scrumptious Classic: Light Marble Cake Recipe
Our delightful recipe for a light marble cake is a timeless classic that will delight both young and old. This lighter version maintains all the moistness and flavor of the traditional cake, with a perfect balance between vanilla and chocolate. Easy to prepare, this two-tone cake will quickly become a favorite for snacks or breakfast.
Ingredients
– Servings: 8
– Eggs: 3 units
– Butter: 175 grams
– A pinch of salt
– Flour: 175 grams
– Baking powder: 1/2 packet
– Granulated sugar: 200 grams
– Cocoa powder: 50 grams
Preparation
1. Start by whisking melted butter with sugar. Add the egg yolks followed by the flour and baking powder.
2. Beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks. Gently fold them into the flour mixture.
To Finish
Divide the batter into two equal portions. Mix the cocoa powder into one of the portions.
Grease a cake mold, approximately 22cm in size. Pour a layer of the cocoa batter into the mold, followed by a layer of the plain batter. Continue alternating the layers.
Bake at 200°C (approximately 392°F) for 35 minutes in a preheated oven. Check the doneness with a knife.
