Kate Middleton’s Outfits Prove She’s a True Princess
To properly welcome the American presidential couple, Kate Middleton dressed to the nines, donning a spectacular haute couture gown. The gown, designed by Phillipa Lepley, featured a long beige silk bustier topped with a golden lace overlay that was hand-embroidered, complete with a high collar. However, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the “Lover’s Knot” tiara perched atop her voluminous hairstyle. Also known as the “Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara,” this piece is recognized by its numerous diamond loops surmounted by 19 teardrop-shaped pearls.
This significant piece was crafted in 1913 by the house of Garrard in honor of Queen Mary and remains one of Kate Middleton’s favorite pieces of jewelry despite its considerable weight. She had previously worn it in 2019 during another official banquet with Donald and Melania Trump. Its value? Estimated between 2 to 3.5 million euros.
Kate Middleton completed her look with sparkling earrings that once belonged to Queen Elizabeth II, a pristine Anya Hindmarch clutch with a chain, and a pair of Aquazzura pumps with a golden finish. She also sported several royal insignias, including the Order of the Royal Family of King Charles III, the Order of the Royal Family of Elizabeth II, and the Grand Cross sash of the Royal Victorian Order.
