Ingredients
– Number of Pieces: 17
Dough
– Chocolate or hazelnut wafers: 200g
– Nutella or your choice of chocolate spread: 100g
– Whole roasted hazelnuts: 17 pieces
Coating
– Chocolate: 150g
– Oil: 2 tbsp
– Roasted hazelnut pieces (coarsely chopped): 30g
Preparation
– Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
– Preparation: 30 minutes
– Cooking Time: 0 minutes
1. Prepare the Dough
Finely chop the wafers using a food processor. Add the Nutella or chocolate spread and mix well until you have a smooth, uniform dough.
2. Shape the Candies
Scoop a teaspoon of the dough and roll it into a ball with your hands. Place it on a plate. Repeat this process until all the dough is used. Then, make a small indentation in each ball and insert a hazelnut. Close the dough around the hazelnut. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
3. Prepare the Coating
Melt the chocolate with the oil in a microwave, heating in 15-second intervals, and stir until smooth. Mix in the chopped hazelnuts. Using two forks, dip each candy ball into the chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off, then place on a dish.
4. Cooling
Chill the coated candies in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes before serving.
Tip
To prevent the candies from sticking after being coated in chocolate, place them on a tray lined with parchment paper until the chocolate sets. Then, transfer them to a serving platter. They will be easier to handle and serve.
