At Just $25, Queen Mathilde’s Favorite Sézane Earrings Defy Trends!

A simple outfit can be transformed into something incredibly stylish with just the right touches, as demonstrated by the Belgian queen.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, along with their youngest daughter, Princess Éléonore of Belgium, traveled to Milan for the Winter Olympics. The Belgian queen chose a straightforward yet very elegant outfit, giving a nod to France in her fashion choices.

Like Prince Albert II and Charlène of Monaco, who arrived a few days earlier, the Belgian king and queen attended the Milan-Cortina events. To cheer on a Belgian athlete in the speed skating competition, the royal couple opted for more casual attire without sacrificing any elegance. Mathilde selected an ensemble in beige and blue. She wore a turtleneck sweater to combat the chilly Italian weather, paired with a camel jacket from Polo Ralph Lauren. She completed her look with plain blue jeans and fur-trimmed suede booties from Scapa.

Regarding accessories, the seventh queen of Belgium left nothing to chance. It was hard to miss her crossbody bag, a smooth calfskin model from Giorgio Armani. Notable for its deep blue color matching her pants and its light gold metal twist-lock fastening shaped like a water droplet, the bag was both chic and functional. Along with a Rolex watch and Gucci sunglasses, Mathilde, aged 53, also chose a piece of French jewelry. She wore the “Gabrielle” earrings from Sézane, made of gold-plated brass and coffee-colored resin, available for 25 euros. A regular patron of the Paris-based brand founded in 2013, the former speech therapist continues to give it prominent exposure.

In the stands, alongside Princess Éléonore, the message was clear: solid support for Belgian athletes and refined elegance down to the last detail. In Milan, Mathilde showed that a thoughtfully curated wardrobe can be as impactful as a formal gala outfit.
