Spinach and Goat Cheese Pastries
These spinach and goat cheese pastries turn spinach into irresistible crispy little bundles. Quick to prepare, they are perfect for both appetizers and a quick dinner. Even kids love this easy recipe!
Ingredients
For 4 servings:
– Spinach: 400g
– Thick cream: 10cl
– Goat cheese rounds: 2
– Egg yolk: 1
– Puff pastry: 1 sheet
– Salt: to taste
– Pepper: to taste
Preparation
Total Time: 50 minutes
– Prep Time: 20 minutes
– Cook Time: 30 minutes
Steps
1. If using fresh spinach: Blanch the spinach for a few minutes, drain well then chop and mix with the cream. If using frozen spinach, simply thaw it. Preheat the oven.
2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 4 equal pieces. Divide the spinach mixture (about 2 heaping tablespoons each), add half a goat cheese round on top of the spinach, and fold the pastry over to form small bundles.
3. Brush the pastries with the beaten egg yolk.
To Finish
Bake in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes.
