Dank & Ryan Moore Take The Filly & Mare Turf; 2013 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf

Dank won the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf for three-year-olds and up in Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. The $2 million 1 ¼ mile firm turf race was a fight to the finish for Dank who crossed the finish line first followed by Romantica. A photo finish for third place revealed Alterite placed third while Emollient finished fourth.

Four-year-old Dank from Great Britain has seven lifetime wins for trainer Sir Michael Stout. Ryan Moore was on the mount for Dank’s 2013 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf victory.

Sir Michael Stout hopes to bring Dank back again next year for the 2014 Breeders’ Cup World Championship.
