Breeders’ Cup 2012: Complete List of Races, Contenders, Favorites, and Odds for Saturday’s Races

The 2012 Breeders’ Cup two-day championship began today, Friday November 2, and will continue on Saturday November 3, 2012. There will be a total of nine horse races on Saturday at the Santa Anita racetrack in California. The Breeders’ Cup Classic is the main event featuring supreme thoroughbred racehorses from across the globe and a $5 Million purse.

Watch the Breeders’ Cup live on NBC Sports Friday November 2 from 4:00-8:00 PM EST and Saturday November 3 from 3:30-8:00 PM EST. The Breeders’ Cup Classic will air on NBC at 8:00 PM EST.

With its $5 million purse, the Classic is the richest race in all of North America. It is open to horses 3-years-old and older and is limited to 14 starters. Six of this year’s starters will gain automatic entries into the race by qualifying through Breeders’ Cup Challenge series.
