Cotillion Stakes & Penn Derby at Parx Offers Fun For All: The 2015 Cotillion Stakes is a Grade I race, and the 2015 Pennsylvania Derby is a Grade II race. They will both take place at Parx Racing in Philadelphia on Saturday, September 19. Gates will open at 10:00 a.m., and the first post time will be at 12:55 p.m. This is the fourth year in a row that Parx has run the two million dollar races on the same day. In celebration of such a big race day, Parx will also host free family activities in the picnic grove. Family-friendly activities will feature pony riders, face painters, a moon-bounce, and temporary tattoos from noon until five o’clock. There will be live music in the afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 and a jockey tee shirt toss after every live race. There will also be horseshoe decorating with a $5 donation and free handicapping with “Hudg.” BBQ and other food and beverages will be available for purchase as well.

Parx Racing is also one of the most premier off-track wagering facilities in the country and features Turf Clubs. The Turf Clubs offer all of the services of the traditional racetrack but also offer racing from around the world in each of its five locations, along with Phonebets deposits and withdrawals, player tracking cards, Tiny Tim and self-service wagering machines, teller windows, and Director Room facilities. There are food services at each club, and each club has free admission and is open every day and night except for Christmas Day.
