Homemade Apricot-Kiwi-Lavender Jam Recipe! Discover the Perfect Blend!

Easy Summer Jam Recipe

Making a delightful summer jam doesn’t have to be complicated. This unique recipe blends the soft floral tones of lavender with the sweet tanginess of apricots and the exotic flavor of kiwis. Whether spread on a slice of homemade brioche or saved for a chilly winter treat, this apricot-kiwi-lavender jam is sure to please.

Ingredients

  • 8 jars
  • 2 kg of apricots
  • 8 kiwis
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 3 sprigs of dried lavender
  • A dab of butter

Preparation

  1. 24 Hours Before Cooking: Begin by thoroughly washing the apricots and cutting them in half. Peel the kiwis and chop them into small pieces. Place all the fruit in a large pot, cover with sugar, and let them macerate in the refrigerator.
  2. The Next Day: Sterilize Your Jars Wash the jars thoroughly. Then, submerge both jars and lids in boiling water for about 2 minutes. Allow them to dry by placing them upside down on a clean cloth.
  3. Making the Jam: Place the macerated fruits, which should have released some juice, into a cooking basin. Add the lemon juice and the “de-leaved” sprigs of lavender. Cook over medium heat. Initially, stir occasionally to prevent sticking, but once boiling, stir continuously. When foam begins to form on the surface, add a dab of butter, continuing to stir. The foam will gradually dissipate. Cooking time can vary; it took me 40 minutes without using pectin or special jam sugar. However, with specialized sugar, the process may be quicker.
  4. Jarring: Immediately pour the hot jam into the sterilized jars. Seal them and turn upside down to cool.

This apricot-kiwi-lavender jam recipe is simple yet innovative, perfect for anyone looking to make a homemade treat that’s a little out of the ordinary. Enjoy it on toast, as a dessert topping, or as a sweet reminder of summer during the colder months.
