Leopard print has consistently defied trend forecasters’ predictions over the years. It has thrived in the fashion scene for over two years now, much to the astonishment of those who considered its kitschy nature a fashion faux pas. Style queens, or fashionistas, have clung tenaciously to this trend, proudly incorporating it into every conceivable item in their wardrobes: from tops and bags to shoes and even umbrellas. Celebrities are also still fervently embracing it. On November 3, Queen Victoria of Sweden was spotted wearing a Malina brand dress adorned with a sequined version of this famous print. This week on Instagram, Dua Lipa added a pop of leopard to her all-denim outfit with a pair of patterned heels. This fall and winter, the print continues to make a bold statement in stores, confidently defying those who predicted its disappearance. According to the data analyst @databutmakeitfashion, leopard print has made a dramatic resurgence in the fashion world, seeing a 34% increase in interest just last week.

It’s not surprising considering the latest Spring/Summer 2025 fashion shows, which took place in September, have given this pattern new life. From New York to Paris, leopard print was prominently featured in collections by Dolce and Gabbana, Vivienne Westwood, and Celine. Far from fading into obscurity, leopard print is enjoying a strong resurgence this season. This is despite its fluctuating popularity in recent months, which often trended downwards. In the realm of animal prints, leopard faced fierce competition from newcomers like tiger stripes and zebra patterns.
Yet, leopard print’s popularity remains unmatched, and this is evident across all apparel brands—from clothing to footwear. Brands continue to feature this loud print extensively. At Mango, for example, leopard print has taken over entire collections, including cardigans, trousers, and coats.
The enduring allure of leopard print in the fashion industry underscores its status as a timeless and versatile pattern that continues to capture the hearts of style enthusiasts around the globe.
