Denmark’s Mary Rocks Unexpected Pants That Transform Her Look This Spring

Danish Queen Captivates with Unique Pants During Official Visit

On March 19, Mary of Denmark concluded a deeply symbolic official visit to her homeland of Australia. To put a sophisticated finish on this multi-day tour, she showcased an incredibly chic look that was cleverly accentuated by a uniquely designed piece of clothing.

Mary of Denmark: A 30-Photo Journey Through the Fashion Evolution of the Ultra-Chic Queen

From March 14 to 19, the Danish King and Queen traveled across Australia. On the final day of their journey, the royal couple received a warm welcome in Tasmania, an isolated island state in the southern part of the country and also Mary’s place of origin. At a reception hosted by the local governor, Frederik X and Mary opted for coordinated black and white outfits. The Danish Queen wore a stunning white shirt (the “Larissa” model from Clea brand), crafted from a luxurious blend of silk and glossy cotton. The double-breasted, high-neckline, voluminous sleeves, and delicate embroidery of the shirt were particularly striking. To complete the look, the mother of four chose black leather Gianvito Rossi pumps with a contrasting white tip.

However, the true centerpiece of the 54-year-old sovereign’s outfit was undoubtedly her pants. Proud of her roots, she had wisely selected a creation from Australian designer Carla Zampatti, featuring a unique cut. The pants had soft pleats on each side, creating a poetic illusion of petals fluttering with her movements.

Striking a balance between harem pants and classic tailored trousers, this decidedly modern garment — also seen on Oprah back in December 2025 — highlighted the Queen’s bold fashion sense, continuing her streak of flawless styling.
