Before becoming this modern temple, it was home to the legendary Baltard’s Halles, followed by an underground shopping center often deemed gloomy in the 1980s. A radical transformation occurred in 2016 with the unveiling of the spectacular Canopée des Halles. This wavy, light-filled structure opened up the space, modernized the image, and made people want to linger.

However, the real secret to its success lies elsewhere. The Forum is connected to the Châtelet – Les Halles station, the largest underground station in Europe. Hundreds of thousands of travelers pass through daily, creating a continuous, almost mechanical flow. Added to this is a hybrid offering: one of Europe’s largest cinemas, restaurants, a swimming pool, a media library, and a conservatory.
