Spain’s Princess Leonor Rocks Vintage French Icon Bag Once Worn by Her Mom!

For a particular event, Leonor of Spain chose an entirely Spanish outfit, but she spiced up her ensemble with a three-colored tribute to a legendary star. Let’s delve into the 19-year-old princess’s choice of handbag.

A Royal Gathering in Barcelona

On July 23, King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia of Spain, and their two daughters attended a special gathering in Barcelona. Princess Leonor stood out with her stunning attire, highlighted by a distinctive handbag.

Before the annual Princess of Girona Awards ceremony that evening, the Spanish royal family hosted a lunch. For this occasion, the two sisters appeared to have synchronized their outfits, selecting shades of nude and white. The elder sister and heir to the Spanish throne looked particularly chic in a midi dress featuring an integrated buttoned vest. This piece, designed by the Spanish brand Adolfo Domínguez, retails for 299 euros. Like many royals this summer, Leonor embraced espadrilles, choosing the “Figueres” model with wedge heels from mint&rose, priced at 135 euros.

A Fashionable Tribute

The fashion element that captured our attention was the handbag chosen by the Princess of Asturias. She opted for a design from 2020, paying homage to a well-known icon in France. This is a shoulder bag co-created by Jane Birkin in collaboration with Massimo Dutti, the label established in Barcelona in 1985. Leonor of Spain fell for this bag made of black leather and raffia, perfect for complementing summer looks.

It appears that she might have borrowed it from her mother’s wardrobe since Queen Letizia of Spain had previously worn this model in July 2020. Thus, the princess can rely on the former journalist to lend her some exceptional fashion pieces.
