Introduction
The refreshing combination of lemon and cucumber makes for a perfect summer treat. Here’s a great recipe for homemade granita!
Make sure to monitor the freezing process closely and scrape regularly to prevent the mixture from freezing solid.
Ingredients
– 4 servings of granita
– 2 cucumbers
– 2 yellow lemons
– 50 grams of sugar
– 200 ml of water
– A few leaves of mint
Preparation
1. Making the Granita
Start by peeling and deseeding the cucumbers, then blend them into a fine puree. Next, squeeze the lemons to extract the juice. In a small saucepan, heat the water and sugar together until the sugar dissolves completely. Combine the cucumber puree, lemon juice, and sugar syrup in a mixing bowl.
Freezing
Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer for 3 hours. Make sure to scrape the mixture regularly with a fork to create a granita texture.
