Hip 35: Fortheluvofbethany: McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC, is consigning This Bellamy Road mare. She was unraced until age 4, where she went unplaced in one start. She is offered as a broodmare, carrying a Discreet Cat foal, which would be her first foal. This mare is a half sibling to Readtheprospectus, a solid handicap horse, who won the Commentator Handicap at Belmont.

Hip 54: Let Joy Reign: This mare is being consigned by Vinery Sales for Spendthrift Farm, LLC. This Awesome Again mare was unraced and used for breeding stock. She has produced 5 foals, 3 winners. This mare is caring a foal by new sire The Lumber Guy. The foal here will likely be fast, having Awesome Again, The Lumber Guy, War Front, and Seattle Slew blood in its veins.

Hip 53: Key d’Oro: This two-year-old filly should be very appealing to breeders and owners. Medaglia d’Oro usually throws some nice fillies, as we’ve seen, and this filly is from a very good female family. The filly is out a Storm Cat mare, Key of Sea, who is a full sister to Yankee Gentleman. The third dam is the granddam of top three-year-old Shared Belief. She should bring an honest price.

Hip 256: Bay Weanling Colt: This Into Mischief colt should be well received. Into Mischief is a hot young sire, and carrying on the Harlan’s Holiday line very well. The colt is out of the Empire Maker mare, Ashlee’s Empire. The colt is likely to have some speed, due to the Dr. Fager sire line being in the 5th generation of the colt’s pedigree.

Hip 280: Bay Weanling Filly: This filly by young sire Trappe Shot should be well received, as all of Trappe Shot’s yearlings this year were well received at the sales. The filly is out a City Zip mare. This one will likely relish dirt sprints when she grows up. The distaff line carried the Belong To Me sire line, which will likely add some stamina to the filly.

Hip 347: Bay Weanling Filly: The Midnight Lute filly should get a look, just on her distaff line alone. She is out of the Indian Charlie mare, Lost Dreams. Lost Dream carries on the distaff line that gave the racing world Personal Ensign and Personal Flag. The 3rd dam here is a full sister to the legendary Personal Ensign. The filly is likely to like middle distances, with the mixture of speed and stamina from sire and distaff lines.

Hip 148: Chestnut Yearling Colt: The Yes It’s True colt should bring a honest price, but not a sky high price. His dam, Blue Sky High, by Unbridled, is a half sister to Lady Liberty, who produced 2013 Kentucky Derby hero Orb. The third dam in the distaff line is a half sister to sire Private Terms. The colt should have good stamina when he hits the track later in life.

Hip 202: Chestnut Yearling Filly: This filly is by young Majestic Warrior, whose two-year-olds are making some noise this year. The A.P. Indy sire line over a Rahy mare should work nicely, lending speed and stamina to the filly. The distaff line is very impressive on this filly as well. The second dam, Bald Cat, is a half sister to Hollywood Wildcat, who was a fantastic producer herself.
