Fayette Stakes 2012 Take Charge Indy & Calvin Borel

The 2012 Fayette Stakes takes place today at Keeneland. Take Charge Indy and Calvin Borel are set to dominate race #9 with 3/1 odds.

Take Charge Indy and Calvin Borel return to racing today at the 2012 Fayette Stakes.

Take Charge Indy’s last race was back in May during the Kentucky Derby. The thoroughbred finished 50 lengths behind the victorious I’ll have Another. It was later discovered that Take Charge Indy suffered an ankle injury, which resulted in surgery. Now, six months later, the three-year-old is ready to win the $150,000 2012 Fayette Stakes.

Experts suspect that Take Charge Indy’s return to racing may be premature and wonder if the thoroughbred has had enough time to recover.  Take Charge Indy possesses an early speed that may help him win the race with a soft pace. We here at Lady and The Track aren’t experts but believe Take Charge Indy and Calvin Borel will win because they have heart!

Lady and The Track would like to wish Take Charge Indy, Calvin Borel, and Mr. Byrne the best of luck during the 2012 Fayette Stakes. We are huge fans of both Calvin and Take Charge Indy and are betting on a big WIN today!

Post time for the 2012 Fayette Stakes is at 5:21 PM EST. You can watch a live stream of the race at keeneland.com.
