Java’s War Wins Blue Grass Stakes: Results & Payouts

Java’s War won the The Toyota Blue Grass Stakes today April 13, 2013 at Keeleland in Lexington Kentucky. Java’s War took home $750,000 and 100 points towards his 2013 Kentucky Derby Entry result in a total of 122 points.

Rydilluc was in the lead for most of the Blue Grass Stakes until the very end. He was beaten after jockey Julien Leparoux brought Java’s War to the first place position all the way from the very last place position! The 2013 Blue Grass Stakes was Julien Leparoux’s third win of the day.

Julien Leparoux stated, “The mile and a quarter will not be a problem in the upcoming Derby.”
