Pure Silver Puts Unbeaten Record On The Line In Spinaway

The Spinaway Stakes has long been one of the most prestigious races on the calendar for 2-year-old fillies and has been captured by such fillies as Flanders, Meadow Star, Awesome Humor, and more recently Ashado. Last year’s edition proved to be a historic one when Sweet Loretta and Pretty City Dancer dead-heated for the win, the first time that had occurred in 41 runnings of the race.

A small field of five has been drawn for this year’s edition of the race, but what it lacks in size, it certainly makes up for it in depth.

Leading the field is Twin Creeks Racing Stables LLC’s Pure Silver, trained by Todd Pletcher.A New-York bred, Pure Silver is the only horse in the field with anything more than a maiden win to her name.
