Final Stretch Festival & Woodward Stakes at Saratoga

Final Stretch Festival & Woodward Stakes at Saratoga: The 2015 Woodward Stakes will take place on Saturday, September 5, at Saratoga Race Track in New York and serves as a part of the end of the Saratoga racing season. The GI $600,000 Woodward Stakes is for three-year-olds and up at 1 1/8 miles on the dirt track. The racetrack will also be hosting The Final Stretch Festival to celebrate the end of the Saratoga season. Created in partnership with the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, the Festival is a two-day festival and an all-day event that includes the races and live music downtown both Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Also on Saturday, Saratoga will be hosting its Fashion Saturday. Fashion Saturday takes place at the Saratoga Pavilion from 11:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening. Local fashion retailers and spas are highlighted, and there are prizes for the best dressed man and woman along with a trophy presentation.

Another special event that Saratoga will be hosting is BBQ at the Rail, a summer BBQ cookout at The Rail Pavilion. It will be held from Friday, September 4, until Monday, September 7, so race day is the perfect day to check it out. There is an all-you-can-eat buffet, including oven-baked chicken, fried catfish, beef tips, succotash, macaroni and cheese, and much more. The cost is $38 per adult, which also includes admission, and children are $28 including admission as well. There is also a 20% discount for season pass and season ticket holders.

For a Saratoga look that will last you from the races to the live music at The Final Stretch Festival, try easing into one of fall 2015’s trends, the floral trend. This trend is the perfect transition from summer into fall, but note that fall florals are markedly different from summer florals.
