Gulfstream Park Super Saturday Stakes, Events, Fashion: This Saturday, February 21, 2015, Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida, will host seven major races including two for three-year-olds on the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks Trail: The Davona Dale Stakes and The Fountain of Youth Stakes. The Davona Dale Stakes is on the 2015 Kentucky Oaks trail and is a race for sophomore fillies over a one-mile dirt track for a purse of $200,000. Likewise, the Besilu Fountain of Youth Stakes is for 3-year-old colts and is held over a 1-1/16-mile dirt route. The Besilu Fountain of Youth Stakes is a Grade 2 race offering a $400,000 purse and is part of the road to the 2015 Kentucky Derby.

What to do at Gulfstream Park…

Along with a great day full of racing, Gulfstream Park also offers other attractions for racegoers to enjoy. One special event that Gulfstream offers is Breakfast at Gulfstream. This is a family-friendly event that will be held on Saturday in the North Tiki Area of the Park. It is held every Saturday from 7:00 a.m until 10:00 a.m., rain or shine. Breakfast at Gulfstream offers an all-you-can-eat buffet that is only $10 per person, while children age 3 and under eat for free.

Gulfstream Park also offers plenty to do at The Village at Gulfstream Park. The Village features dining, special events, and shopping. Shops include places like Z Gallerie, Pottery Barn, and Liapela Modern Baby, and patrons can opt for fine dining establishments like the Martini Bar or decide amongst more low-key places like Frankey’s Sports Bar or American Pie Brick Oven Pizza. Gulfstream also offers a full casino.

Whether you decide to start your day with breakfast at the park, plan to shop in the afternoon in between races, or intend to stay into the late hours of the night at the Casino, you will want to look fashionable and comfortable with a look that will carry you from day to night. Try one of this season’s major trends, the jumpsuit. Jumpsuits can be very versatile, fashion-forward, and comfortable. Just make sure to stay away from shorter romper styles – even though you will be in sunny Florida, it is still winter, and a romper can seem a bit too summery. Pair your jumpsuit look with a strappy sandal or a pointed toe stiletto. Stay away from all types of boots and rounded-toe shoes because these shoes will only weigh down your look.
