Stand Out and Above the Crowd in Orange at the 2014 El Camino Real Derby: The El Camino Real Derby is set to take place at the Golden Gate Fields in Berkley, California on Saturday, February 15, 2014. It is still winter time at most of the nation’s leading horse tracks, but since the El Camino Real Derby is in California and the predicted weather is a high of 63, you can try something bright and new that stands out, rather than your go to dark winter colors. Try stepping out in something that is on trend for Spring 2014. You may not be quite ready for the traditional spring floral prints, but you can still wear something fresh. Try something orange, as it was a major color all over the 2014 spring runways. There were orange clothes, accessories, shoes, and even lips were covered in orange. For a race day at Golden Gate Fields for the El Camino Real Derby, try a great tangerine J.Crew dress or a great beaded Anthropologie Dress. The “Swoon Enough” dress is a perfect addition to your race day attire complete with hearts to soften the vibrant orange hue. Just make sure to pair your orange with nude or metallic shoes and hat, as black can read too severe and too much like Halloween.

If a full on orange dress is too much for you try a pop of orange like a punchy orange fascinator. If you want to feel like the luckiest lady at the track on Saturday, try “Anya” by Trixie’s favorite designer Fielden Willmott Millinery available at Fashion at the Races paired with a lovely white dress to make the hat pop.
