Preakness Stakes Travel Tips; Where to Stay: You’ll want to make sure that you are well rested for race day, as the 2014 Preakness Stakes is one of the most important races in horse racing and is known for it’s “party all night” attitude. It is the second jewel of the Triple Crown. Baltimore hosts some great places to stay with plenty of amenities.

For true classic luxury try the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore during your visit to attend the 2014 Preakness Stakes. This hotel is on the shoreline and has amazing water front views. This hotel is located close to Harbor East, which is an up and coming hip new district. It is surrounded by fine dining and great shopping. You can easily walk around the surrounding neighborhood. If you are looking for places a little closer to the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course and a little less expensive then you still have some great options including the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront and the Hyatt Regency Baltimore or the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel. Any of these three places will also help you get that getaway vacation feel as well, with plenty of amenities to boast for at slightly lower price points. Wherever you chose to stay, you will surely have a wonderful race day experience.
