It seems redundant, but it’s worth mentioning that Fierceness has topped the charts this week as one of the quickest stakes winners, following his impressive showdown with Thorpedo Anna during Saturday’s Grade 1 Travers stakes.

Both horses notched 107 Brisnet Speed Ratings and 111 Beyer Speed Figures for their exceptional performances.

These scores are the peak Beyer figures recorded this year, tying with the 111 Arthur’s Ride achieved at a Saratoga optional-claiming allowance in June.

However, there have been higher Brisnet ratings this year; Warrior Johny scored a 111 at a Saratoga optional-claiming allowance, and Next scored a 109 at the Brooklyn (G2), both in July.

Sharing the top spot in this week’s Brisnet ratings, Raging Torrent also earned a 107 for his victory on Saturday in the Pat O’Brien (G2) at Del Mar.

Below are the statistics for the past week’s top-rated stakes winners, ordered by Brisnet Speed Ratings and accompanied by Beyer Speed Figures from Daily Racing Form.
