Vegan Gingerbread Flavored Caramelized Almonds—Taste the Holiday Magic!

Today’s Special: Spiced Caramelized Almonds

Today, I’m excited to share a recipe for spiced caramelized almonds that’s completely vegan and incredibly easy to make. These almonds are reminiscent of those you might find at a Christmas market, but much more affordable.

They are delightfully crunchy, perfectly sweetened, and wonderfully spiced, making them absolutely delicious and addictive! Once you start eating them, it’s hard to stop. They are perfect for gifting during the festive season!

Ingredients

– For 4 servings

– Water: 100 grams
– Sugar: 150 grams
– Vanilla sugar: 10 grams
– Almonds: 200 grams
– Gingerbread spices: 1 teaspoon

Preparation

– Total Time: 25 minutes
– Prep Time: 10 minutes
– Cook Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Process

1. Begin by placing a skillet or saucepan on the stove. Add water, sugar, and vanilla sugar to the pan and bring it to a boil over medium heat, stirring regularly. Once it starts boiling, add the almonds and gingerbread spices. Continue cooking and stirring continuously as the water evaporates, which should take about 10 minutes. As the liquid disappears, the sugar will start to crystallize and turn white. Keep cooking for about 5 more minutes until the sugar melts and caramelizes. It’s important to keep stirring constantly to prevent the almonds from burning.

Finishing Touches

Once done, quickly spread the almonds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, separating them immediately. Allow them to cool. Enjoy these delightful treats yourself and share them with loved ones to spread some joy!
