This refreshing beverage with subtle flavors has been a traditional recipe passed down through generations. It’s an easy-to-make aperitif that will certainly impress your guests. With just a few simple steps and minimal ingredients, you can create a homemade drink bursting with taste.
Ingredients
For 8 people
For 1 liter of dry white table wine:
– Elderflowers: 6 heads
– Granulated sugar: 150 to 200 grams
– 90% proof alcohol (from pharmacy): 1 glass
– Mineral or boiled water: 1 glass
Preparation
1. Combine all ingredients in a large container and allow them to macerate for three days.
To Finish
Remove the elderflower heads and then strain the wine either using a coffee filter in a funnel or through a used stocking. Transfer the strained wine into attractive screw-top bottles (as shown in the photo).
