The incident occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, August 10, 2024. Thirteen teenagers, all between the ages of 13 and 16, were participating in an equestrian activity organized by a youth center from Ni\u00e8vre. What was meant to be a peaceful ride along the scenic lakeside quickly turned dangerous when, around 4 p.m., a stray dog suddenly emerged and startled the horses.<\/p>\n
The unexpected arrival of the dog caused several of the horses to rear up, leading to at least five of the teenagers being thrown from their saddles.<\/p>\n
Emergency services from Yonne were quickly dispatched to the scene to assist the injured teenagers.
