– 5 jars<\/p>\n
– 1.5 kg of ripe fresh figs
\n– 800 g of granulated sugar (or jam sugar)
\n– 1 organic lemon (juice and zest)
\n– 10 cl of water<\/p>\n
1. Prepare the Figs<\/strong><\/p>\n Wash the figs, remove the stems, and quarter them. Place them in a large pot.<\/p>\n 2. Add Sugar and Lemon<\/strong><\/p>\n Add the sugar, lemon juice, and finely grated lemon zest. Gently mix, cover, and let it macerate for 1 hour to extract the juice.<\/p>\n 3. Cook the Jam<\/strong><\/p>\n Pour in a small glass of water and bring the mixture to a boil while stirring. Reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the jam thickens (to test, drop a little on a cold plate; it should set).<\/p>\n 4. Jar the Jam<\/strong><\/p>\n Immediately fill sterilized jars with the hot jam. Seal the jars, turn them upside down, and allow to cool at room temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n
